Indoor Air Quality

Our Customer & Technology Center has been designed to meet standards for Thermal Comfort Conditions for Human Occupancy to promote occupant productivity and well-being. The verification credit provides a monitoring system and process for corrective action to ensure occupant thermal comfort over time.

Zoning and controls are used at solar exposures, interior spaces, private offices and other special occupancies to sense temperature and modulate the HVAC system to respond to varying demands.

LEED best practices encourage a wide variety of energy-wise strategies, including energy use monitoring; efficient design and construction; efficient appliances, systems and lighting; the use of renewable and clean sources of energy, generated on-site or off-site; and other innovative measures.  EMD is intent on closely matching our practices with those outlined by LEED to achieve highly-efficient energy practices.
